attraction
Written by PAGE LEONG Directed by MICHAEL JOHN GARCÉS
August 7, 8 & 9 (Thurs, Fri, & Sat) 2008 at 8:30 PM Outdoors on Traction Avenue, Downtown Los Angeles
Institute Students from across the country work with Cornerstone to produce this collaboration with Cornerstone's own neighbors in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District.
In attraction, PI, a self proclaimed private investigator, and Iris, a young artist and new Arts District resident, are at the intersection of Traction Avenue's urban village experiment of local and global community. Explore what pulls people to place, to one another, or keeps them apart. Encounter a pioneering spirit, lost and found magic, love and a mystery.
Plan to take in the Arts District!
There are many excellent restaurants in the neighborhood for a range of budgets:
Get to the show early to enjoy a special preshow doorprize giveaway.
The running time of the show is approximately 80 minutes. The performance is outdoors on the street with general admission seating on bleachers.
Parking in the Arts District for ATTRACTION
Free street parking is available on all nearby streets.
If you dine at Zip Fusion or E 3rd Street, they offer a valet service for $4 per car and you might be able to extend your parking through the end of the performance.
The parking lot in the Little Tokyo Shopping Center on the SW corner of Alameda and 3rd is offering $5 parking for our audience, but you need to have a voucher from Cornerstone to get that rate:
